Does your Facebook page\u2019s URL look something like this?<\/p>\n

By default, your Facebook page\u2019s URL is made up of your page\u2019s name plus a long number. If you want to put the URL on your business card, or spell it out over the phone, this is obviously not ideal.<\/p>\n

The good news is that you can create a custom URL (sometimes called a \u201cvanity URL\u201d) with a username and no number, like this:<\/p>\n

In the past, you needed 25 likes to do this, but you can now do this at any time \u2013 even when you\u2019re setting up your page.<\/p>\n

It only takes a couple of minutes to secure your custom URL, so do it today if at all possible: the longer you delay, the higher the chance that someone will take the username that you want!<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Login to Facebook and go to your page. (You can find it in the left-hand column of your Facebook home page, under Pages.)<\/p>\n

2. At the top of your admin panel, click \u201cEdit page\u201d and select \u201cUpdate Page Info\u201d, as shown in the screenshot below:<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll then see this at the top of the Page Info tab:<\/p>\n

3. Under \u201cPage Address\u201d, click the \u201cEnter a Facebook web address\u201d link, then click the new link that appears \u2013 \u201cCreate a web address for this Page?\u201d<\/p>\n

4. Your page should be automatically selected from the drop-down menu. Enter the username you want and click \u201cCheck availability\u201d. You\u2019ll need to make sure your username fits Facebook\u2019s guidelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n

5. Make sure you\u2019re happy with your username (and double-check the spelling) before confirming it. Once you\u2019re sure you\u2019re happy, click \u201cConfirm\u201d.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s it! You should see this confirmation message:<\/p>\n

Your old URL will redirect to the new one, so you don\u2019t need to worry about updating your previous links.<\/p>\n
